Description |
Activity
An activity is a single service order and always belongs to a reservation. There might be only one activity requested (for example golf tee time), but a reservation is always created in the background. |
Activity Product
The services offered are defined as activity products, which are then assigned pricing and posting details. The resources required to perform the services must be defined. In addition, items needed to perform the service (that is consumption) can be defined, as well as any additional required or optional charges (retail items). |
Activity Resource
The resources available to perform the service that is being promoted. The resources can have capabilities assigned (which services they can perform), as well as which resource group they belong to (which decides their availability). |
Activity Type
Defines what kind of activities the system is managing. Mainly defines what kind of date and time options are needed for that particular type of activity, that is if it is a date range or a single date. |
Class
Classes are products with an ongoing schedule and limited capacity. Classes do not require a reservation as a participant container, since every class assignment is an individual activity (appointment) for each session. |
Course
Courses are products with preset schedules and a preset number of persons who can participate. A reservation is used as a container for the course, including the schedule, resources needed, and the list of participants as activity entries (lines in the reservation). |
Cue
Cues are visual button indicators for various calculations and in most cases provide drill-down to the related entries by clicking the Cue button. These Cue buttons are in the Role Center and present the most important values in the Reservation card and the Activity card. |
Interval Type
Defines the time intervals which are used to present the availability. Availability can differ between activity types and even products. |
Location
Activity locations are defined to decide the physical location of the service (product). |
Rental Unit
A single unit (for example equipment or room) which is presented to reservations as availability using resources. The availability of the resource is based on the standard availability settings, but takes notice of the status of the rental units: for example units in maintenance, units being blocked, or even a future adjustment of total unit ownership. Each rental unit gets a unique identification and is assigned to the rental reservation. The unit must also be specifically returned, either through the rental worksheet or the point of sale return process. |
Reservation
A reservation is a container for multiple activity assignment. For example, a reservation can contain multiple services that are being requested, for example golf and spa appointments within a single reservation. A reservation can also be an event order with multiple events assigned and resources attached, or a course participant list with resource schedules attached. A reservation can contain multiple client request or a single client request, as defined by the reservation type. |
Reservation Type
Defines how the reservation details are presented and which activities can be entered within a single reservation.
Resource Group
Defines what kind of resources are needed, how their capacity is retrieved, and how their usage logic is applied. |
